Sunday Evening

Most board meetings gather at a large conference table with reports at the ready but not an IPWSO board meeting. Noooo, we started out with Giorgio sing Italian love songs! From there we learned about 10 or so of the Chinese God's from the gifts that Shuan-Pei brought for Pam, which was followed by a meal that would rival most 5 start restaurants.
I doubt that I will live long enough to be on another board that sets the bar as high as this one does. Here in the U.S. we just meet and get our work done, but with our European and Asian friends, we party hardy.

It was fun to have Finland, New Zealand, Taiwan, Romania, Italy, Germany, Norway and the US represented at this gathering as well as Pam's sons, other family members and friends. A highlight for me was the chance to meet Bob face to face since we had sent dozens of emails back and forth and talked on the phone for almost a year. The bonus was in meeting his partner Barb, who I found out is as good with a gun in the jungle as she is with a ladle in the kitchen. Not sure if she would be classified as a "Chef Packin' Heat" or not.

Two of Pam's friends, Deborah and Elaine, joined us this even and they were planning on taking Lisa and Bridget on a shopping spree in the morning. I have to give credit to Hubert and Norbert, for staying calm and not having that "Deer in the Headlights" look with the thought of how many Deutsche marks might be charge to the credit cards tomorrow.
