Our First Evening

Cruise ships are like floating cities with multiple restaurants and lounges so when you want to find somewhere to relax, it is pretty easy. We headed into the Champagne Lounge which was a quite setting with a fantastic view of Puget Sound and the peninsula, all with a beautiful sunset. This gave us a chance to talk and enjoy the view before heading back to our rooms to change for dinner.

Dinners on this cruise are an amazing culinary experience. The main dining room is elegant, and the quality of preparation as well as a wonderful selection would be enough, but the portions are generous so you never go away hungry. Add to this a fine wine selection and a few hours around the table with friends just flies by. I cannot imagine how much weight I would put on if we took a two week cruise, but I would like to try and find out <g>.

Once dinner is over the ships stores open up along with a special nightly showing of Jewelry and tonight, a chance to sample many of the adult beverages offered on board. This night they were offering samples of different flavored Vodkas. Since they are able to sell Alcohol tax and duty free, the prices are much lower and they do a booming business. Your purchases are packaged and ready to take with you as you depart.

We wandered the decks to see what music was being offered then Susan and I headed back to our room and left the young folk to party into the night .
